    1. A fight breaking out over US intervention highlights just how tense relations and security issues are along the border.

I’m glad the Mexican senate and government are so passionate about protecting their own borders, interests and territory. If only they were even half as passionate at destroying the cartels that plague their country and tear the corruption out they are causing, root and stem.

I mean I think people who really care about Mexico and people who are really are in bed with cartels both probably don’t want the US military all up in their country when Trump and others in said government have talked/“just joking“ other nations before.

When they already made comments about their other neighbour, and they’re still being very weird about Greenland, would you really want to allow them to start having military stuff in your borders?

I mean that aside, if this was a serious thing, the cartels would just… move somewhere else, and maybe even come back when the US withdrew?

    5. Mexico would be great if you kicked out all the cartels …. And all the Americans

The fact that they are fighting like this is quite the tell that someone has something to lose should the US decimate their income stream.

    7. WTF. Noroña, who controversial is being generous, had been found to have a 12 million pesos mansion when he had said he was broke prior to being elected, tried to doxx one of the main investigative journalists in Mexico because of this and had this abrupt rule breaking (all yesterday or the day prior) that lead to the fight and this is the first thing about it being about „military intervention“ I’ve read. Do people really think everything revolves around the US? It really looks reductive.

Those who are bought by the cartels vs those who aren’t. Of course fists will fly.
