This won’t end well for the Lebanese.
It’s a shame
But we can be proud of the men and women of the defence forces and how they conducted them selfs in such a challenging and dangerous environment
I’ve been to Lebanon and I’m deeply uncomfortable with this, especially the American and Israeli push for withdrawal.
There’s a reason Israel was so insistent on trying to get Irish peacekeepers out of the way recently. They don’t want anyone witnessing their atrocities.
The people pushing for this are doing it out of nefarious reasons.
How long will it be before Israel claim most of Lebanon as their ancestral homeland?
And just when they were making such progress on their mission to disarm Hezbollah too….
Can the mission be replaced by EU battlegroups under a EU mandate with Lebanon?
Since France is pushing to continue the mission with us with Spain and others there should be support for it.
The whole point of the EU battlegrouos was to give us this ability but its never been used yet.
