MAGA cares more about the identity of the shooter than the fact that children are dead. The moment a member of a minority group does something horrible, they bash the entire group because they don’t care what the person did, just who they are. They use it as an excuse to further their bigotry, racism, and hatred.
They would rather continue pointless culture wars than do something meaningful to prevent these killings from happening in the first place.
Think about how the Trump administration treated the „carjacking“ in DC. How they used it as an excuse for everything they were already wanting to put in place. I’m afraid that’s how they’ll treat this.
Good on the mayor but nobody who needs to heed that advice is listening. Expect mob violence from MAGA within the coming weeks. They wanted their „trans shooter“, they got one. Granted, they would have made one up if they needed to but the point still stands. Trans people are the most nonviolent people in America per capita and are far more likely to be the victims of violence. But nobody cares because we have some of the highest poverty rates, homeless rates and general hardships of anyone in the country and most of the world. We’re not a privileged class who were being scapegoated for the lower classes problems like Tutsis in Rwanda, we are the lowest caste in society who are being targeted. Think more Romani in Europe. Utterly destitute and still blamed for all the problems in a society.
I don’t expect most Democrats to care and do expect them to fold to the Trump administration like Gavin Newsom has on the issue.
So two catholic kids dying means it’s a hate crime and terrorism. And the loons on the right trying to villainize an entire group of people because of one persons actions.
But when schools are shot up, people are killed because of their gender/race/sexual orientation by (what is almost always) white Republican dudes and that’s just not a huge deal I guess?

This person was probably radicalized on telegram. It checks all the order of nine angles/764 mass shooter fandom boxes. Kmfdm, nazi references, Russia, Satanism, nihlism, etc. They had a loss meme drawn on the rifle underneath the name of the tree of life shooter, along with „do you believe in god“ (columbine). Skibidi Brevik written on one of the magazines. They will focus on the shooters gender identity instead of the violent extremist groups egging these attacks on.
