I really hate using the term, but it’s gaslighting. Does anyone in Ukraine – civilian, military, government/leadership – feel Zelensky was a liability or impediment in fighting for Ukrainian interests, especially in light of the clearly sabotaged and degrading meeting in the WH? And the petulant sychophanic worm of a VP whose line was an embarrassing failed punchline that will live in infamy thinks he can prod someone to betray his boss where solidarity is key?

Eating your own bullshit should be a solitary event, JD.

You know the US Empire is running on fumes when they can’t even do a coup right.  “Hi this is Vice President Vance would you like to be president? *click* Hello??” Absolute amateur hour over there.

For any other administration this would be a national embarrassment.  For the Trump admin it’s just another Wednesday.

    3. What a pathetic move by the US regime, Zelensky will go down in history as a hero, JD Vance will be remembered as couch fucking sycophant.

Ukraine has two dick-tatorships coming at it all at once. They just keep slapping it away.

    5. If this is true, it is another example of stunning arrogance and stupidity from the VP.

      1) Does JD think that only the US has democracy? All other leaders are tin-pot dictators who would willingly organize coups on the proddings of a US administration.

      2) Even if Zalushnyi is willing to do this, it promises no gain and almost certain loss. If a coup succeeds, Ukraine almost certainly loses EU support in the short term. On top of that, Putin would almost certainly see this as chaos and weakness in Ukraine and Putin would be silly not to press this advantage on the battlefield.

      3) If Zelensky is replaced by the US bidding, then there would need to be some credible promise by the US not only to back the replacement but also to end the war in Ukraine. Both are necessary – taking power and then making no progress on the battlefield means certain doom domestically. And anyone with half a brain would know that the US has shown zero desire to involve themselves deeper in the conflict and therefore their ability to end the war (other than abject surrender – at which point the replacement is likely dead or exiled) is close to zero. It would have been a poisoned chalice no matter what.

JD must think everyone else is dumb. Like really, really dumb.

embarassing lmao, jd vance is the type of guy who gets caught trying to cheat by his wife but he keeps getting rejected in the messages

    7. Dafuq, now coups are being executed directly from the vp office itself..?, isn’t that the job of Virginia farm boys..?

One of the worst people on earth trying to replace one of the most courageous humans alive.

It’s also idiotic because Zaluzhyni was removed from his position in part because he wanted to lower the conscription age and be even more aggressive. So not exactly the kitten Vance, Trump and Putin are hoping for.

JD really thought a *former Ukrainian president* and current Ambassador had more loyalty to Trump than Zelensky…?

Does the Trump administration just spin a gameshow wheel every morning to decide their foreign policy of the day?

This is just utterly bizarre behaviour

This administration actually thinks this is a big game and they can do whatever they want. It’s fuxking crazy town everyday and they are playing with peoples lives like they are all pawns.

Vance and Trump have bought Russian propaganda that Ukraine isn’t democratic because they aren’t having elections while a war is going on. Trump alluded to it in the last meeting with European leaders at the white house.

    14. Reminder: this guy (Vance) went to Yale (allegedly).

Guess they’ll let anyone in these days.

    15. I for one refuse to believe that the US would get involved in the elections of another country

    16. What did Mister Couch Defiler think was going to be the result of this? A coup against Zelensky? Not happening, the Ukrainians aren’t idiots and know it would just lead to them having a harder time beating back the Russians. Zaluzhnyi knows that. How did Vance *not* know that, unless he’s a total moron who thinks the Ukrainians will roll over for Putin?

    17. Inevitable-Toe745 on

Zaluzhnyi may have been the wrong man for the job during his counter offensive. He may have been personally snubbed and destined for failure by sheer lack of resources pursuing an unattainable goal. In war what is fair is often not important. However, from what I can gather he is no fool, and I have great respect for him.

    18. KaleidoscopeField on

Good! Zaluzhnyi, joins other leaders in refusing his calls. All of them should stop taking his calls.

    19. Melomaverick3333789 on

So now we know that confrontational angle by trump and company in the oval office was to overthrow zelensky. Christ…

    20. Juicy Davenport Vance. You have to be over a certain age to get that one though.

    21. yosarian_reddit on

JD fucking traitorous Vance. He’s more in the tank for Putin than Trump is.

    22. sooper_dooperest on

MORE. LIKE. THIS! Just like the recent stories of the Indian president refusing the Republican administration’s calls (4 times now as of last check?)… the more unified front against these clowns by the collective of institutions they assail, the less inclined others will be to tolerate their arrogance & bullying.

This goes to show that Ukraine has integrity and principles within their leadership.
