Mt Fuji climbing season is going to end on Sept 10 (Wed). Not sure what will happen after this date this year.
With weather this hot, it probably won’t snow for some time still but most huts are going to close and busses up and down the mountain may stop operation.
The Yoshida Fire Festival is incredible, and the heat off those torches towards the end of the event is very intense. One of the more memorable festival experiences I’ve had in Japan
