When will the EU start to realize, that, at this point, the US is just about as trustworthy as China, and should be treated with the same caution?
In fact I’d argue that China is more trustworthy than the US currently. Because, at the very least, Chinas actions are usually rooted in logic, even if that logic is often self-serving, whereas the US might, at any point, do something completely irrational, even if it damages themselves, to appease some tribal voterbase, some billionaires special interest, or just because the head of their administration saw something on cable news TV.
Yeah it’s a bit delicate situation for Denmark/Greenland. Perhaps they can start with tracking these people? They must have flew in with an American or Russian passport unless they sent Jason Bourne. And once found they can be used for Polar bears or Whale food.
No wonder tRump is so fond of pUtin – he is his role model.
It also explains why tRump is so hard on Ukraine. It’s because it shows resistence to the occupiers.

Of course that’s off-subject, but it is a bit ironic reading the first sentence.
What can Denmark do? US has about 40 military bases in Europe. They could take over Europe anytime they want.

On one side Europeans are legitimately fighting for territorial integrity of Ukraine with American help and on the other side their own territorial integrity is in a threat from America itself
It’s like the security guard you employed for guarding your home is planning for a burglary.
There’s in all reality nothing Denmark nor Europe can or will do when US takes Greenland. Denmark as a tiny nation can scream and shout all they want – won’t have much effect. So instead they’ll try to make it look like an agreement. Europe will just wag its tail- as is want.
I’m writing this as a bitter European who has had to realize there is no strategic independence from the US. Europe hasn’t the capacity nor imagination to pave its own path in this rapidly changing world. Its credibility and word is crumbling faster than a cookie in a desert.
My goodness as an American who values the U.S.’s relationship with western European allies (however frayed and challenging the partnership can be at times) this shit is so fucking embarrassing.
