The GOP is a Fascist Party that should be abolished, plain and simple.

Don’t forget the military and ICE, you will see checkpoint for going to vote in democrats area. They will detain you to validate your identity, making such you can’t cast your vote in time. Trump is currently working on this, and the phase one is to make you accept the military in your cities.

We’ve never had fair elections; they’re just trying to make it worse.

You think? They virtually announced it during Trump’s campaign. Did people not read their plans for 2025? Just because the president doesn’t read. We have to, so we are informed. We the people, are the ones that take the brunt of the hurt when all is dished out. Good luck to all, as more is coming, count on it.

    6. You can’t blame them for doing this.

Every few years they get kicked out of office and therefore they can’t complete their program. If they could stay in office forever they could achieve so much more.

For instance, they could ensure those generous billionaires who funded them are able to become trillionaires.

    7. Continuing their all out assault.

Has no one noticed the multi-faceted voter suppression campaigns they have been waging for decades?

    8. Exactly what you would expect from an authoritarian regime seeking to aggressively seize power.

Think about this in context of Trump deploying the military to big cities. We are witnessing the first stage of the end game of an authoritarian power grab.

What happens after all this? Do we legislate the GOP out of existence or they still come and sit around biding their time until they can do this again?

They’ve been doing this for a good long while now. This isn’t even really new.

If you think that just because you vibe with MAGA and Trump and similar things, or you support them for taxes or other personal reasons, that a dictatorship, a dissolution of democracy, that it can’t or isn’t likely to destroy your life, you should learn some history. You are playing with fire, and you should be 100% sure that what you want is to play Russian Roulette at this time in your life, and with other people’s lives, because the risks of what you are supporting have a good chance of becoming your own suicide.

So what we do about it? I have donated in the past to local causes and have helped in protest in small ways. Handing out water mostly. What are we the people going to do about this or actively doing.

The GOP assault on literally everyone and everything never ENDS. It’s just non stop terrible things every day.

    14. Don’t mail-in ballots primary benefit the GOP?

You know, because of old people and the military?

    15. This is the south’s, McCarthy, golderwater and Nixon revenge. How dare any of us American peasants choose other than our rightful masters.

If there is way cheat the republicans will do it. If they have to make up a way to do it they will. Moral of the story, never ever vote for a republican again

    17. acnhfruitseeker on

No it’s ok. Everyone told me they’ll just be voted out and that’s how tyrannical regimes are defeated. 2nd amendment? What is that? History books? No, there’s nothing in there that might help

    18. Galactic-Guardian404 on

This is a recipe for revolution, ultimately, and the farther they try to go in that direction, the sooner it will come and the worse their fate when it’s over.

I raised this problem with a Trump supporter back in 2020. I was told that I was insane and imagining things, and that the GOP doesn’t engage in voter suppression.

    20. Their next move is to allow intimidation and harassment at voting stations. Just wait and see.
