Kind of a weird stance, like how does Sask not have natural gas? It just ends at Albertas border? Always assumed it stretched into Sask more I guess.

Guessing the real reason is looking at Alberta’s disaster of a conversion. Letting coal finish its lifespan and just building new gas plants would have saved ungodly amounts of money

They could also look across to Alberta to see cheap and effective wind power. The Buffalo Plains wind farm had a similar $1B price, for 460MW, with no ongoing input costs.

Meanwhile, China is building so much renewable they are decarbonizing, even with new coal plants to take up temporary shortfall.

We have been sold out to fossil fuel corporations.

We are such idiots as a species that we don’t deserve this planet.
We could have perhaps let dinosaurs rule this planet. They took better care of it.
