      These sort of launch-pad films that have a stacked cast of young up-and-comers, but end up disappointing at the box-office, are a very interesting genre onto itself.

      Grease 2 (1982), Dazed & Confused (1993), and Starship Troopers (1997) are great examples. (Not at all saying they’re bad movies, Starship Troopers is my jam, but it flopped.)

      OK, well he was Rex Manning so it’s not so bad.

      And I just rewatched Age of Innocence and Michelle Pfeiffer was an undeniable talent. That’s not even talking about her Catwoman. She was always going to come out of it OK.

      I was a tween when that film came out, saw it in the theater. I was hyped and 12 year old me loved it. I’d probably still love it, I dunno. He was cute, heh. My bedroom walls were covered with teen idol posters and you can bet that I had one or two of him.

      Totally forgot he was married to Juliet Mills. 19 year age gap between them and according to the article they’re still together today, since 1980–45 years. Impressive by Hollywood standards I would think.

      I don’t remember much of his acting though between Grease 2 and The Colbys, but I don’t think he was too bad. I guess it wasn’t in the cards (he seems to have worked steadily over the years though).

      The fact that he’s a talentless hack with the charisma of stucco may have had something to do with it.

      To be fair, she got „Cool Rider“ and he got to sing „Charade“ with so much reverb it sounded like there was a bucket on his head. No shade, though, I still love him. Oh Rexy, you’re so sexy!

      Until My Date with Drew came out, it was incredibly hard to find someone that liked that movie. Then some guy angled himself into a fake date with Drew Barrymore, they talked about their love of Grease 2, and it started to become a proper cult classic.

      Grease 2 wasn’t THAT bad… I get that Cool Rider song stuck in my head randomly sometimes for some reason.

      you can sorta tell your career is weird when as an American actor, you end up as a regular in a British soap opera. He was in Emmerdale 2009-2010 as Mark Wylde.

      I looked at his IMDB page and he did pretty well for himself, had a pretty good career in a very difficult profession.

      Because 1) the film was meh 2) the music was meh 3) Michell Pfeiffer was a goddess 4) he wasn’t
