I am not sure which one to believe. In all likelihood, imports will continue from Russia

Excellent news. Russia’s economy needs to be dismantled so that they can no longer fund the war and are forced to withdraw from Ukraine.

“Modestly reduce Russian crude purchases.”
Just enough to keep Trump happy, but still support Russia.

Wait for another report claiming India has increased its oil imports from Russia .
its been a pattern since few weeks that these articles claiming both different things are published.
But the fact remains that India is standing against American unjustified tariffs Unlike Europe who has „Reluctantly“ Signed a One Sided Humiliating Trade deal with America .

Wasn’t Reuters wrong about this recently? Anything goes these days

Didn’t it come out that India already placed contracts for September and October and actually INCREASED the amount they bought compared to previous months?
I feel like this has been happening every few weeks for the past 3 years. Article comes out that India has been purchasing a ton of oil. Then a week later an article comes out that India got pressured into reducing the amount. And then another week later it comes out that they purchased more or never reduced anything. And then there’s like a 2-3 week break before the cycle starts all over again.
I’m honestly shocked people even care about this. I feel like most people just kind of checked out of bothering whether India stopped or increased or continued their purchasing of oil from Russia

For those who haven’t read the article, India is going to reduce imports at a “modest” amount and as a “token gesture” for Washington more than anything else to
escape from increased tariffs.

Let me find out they just rejected one shipment for other reasons to have nothing to do with the war
