The real answer here is that we started recording rape and sexual assault better.
We have an increased willingness to report. It doesn’t mean rapes have gone up it just means more people are reporting them because of public campaigns such as MeToo and high profile cases.
You also have the police actually doing better to record this and better training so they stop dismissing claims at the door. Much better guidance out there for police because of the above points. Nobody wants a scandal.
The scary fact of the matter is Rape was ALWAYS this high we just were not reporting/recording it well enough.

Considering marital rape wasn’t even a crime in the UK till 1991, France 1994, Germany 1997, i think it’s just became more common to report rape cases.
People started being more confident reporting rapes even from their family and partners?
Where is this data from? I’m seeing increases when I look, but I find 13K rape + sexual assault cases in Germany in 2024, for example.

Polands got the right idea
Nothing, absolutely nothing and don’t look at any statistics relating to this, they’re ALL FAKE!
The low hanging fruit of „immigrants caused this “ is so silly. Woman are now more willing to report rapes as compared to before where they felt like shamed for it. Immigrants were always part of Europe dont fall for the divide and conquer tactics from the elites
What happened? Forced immigration. Poland stepped their security up so well that even their natives slowed down. And people always made fun of them like they did things backwards. Who’s laughing now?
Income inequality getting worse, stagnant wages, rising cost, decrease in quality of public services. All crime tends to go on the rise during this.
Also we as a society started becoming more vocal and willing to come forward about rape. Historically it would’ve been burued, hidden or victim intimidated or coerced to keep quiet.

I know I’m supposed to read this and say ‘it’s clearly mass migration’, but we need to remember that in 2000 there were far less cameras capturing just about everything. Maybe there was just as many sex related crimes at the time that went unseen. Also in 2000 the west was culturally different in terms of female rights and believing woman’s stories.
Social awareness around how unacceptable rape and sexual harassment is and a culture of protecting people who chose to speak up.

Western societies also figured out a lot of the rapey stuff that was accepted in the past was in fact rapey and women started being more empowered to report assaults.
