The Fed’s independence exists for a reason if presidents could fire members every time they didn’t like a decision, we’d have chaos instead of stability.
This whole thing just feels like more political drama. The Fed is supposed to be independent for a reason. Every time a president tries to mess with it, the markets get nervous and regular people end up paying for it.
