Wir haben hier am 9. August (Samstag) geparkt und heute ein Parkticket erhalten. Nach meinem Verständnis ist die Notwendigkeit eines Parktickets nur von Montag bis Freitag in Kraft?

Sign means exactly what you wrote. Maybe fine was for improper parking or something else?
Perhaps you parked differently than it showed on the sign? Otherwise, upload the fine, maybe it specifies the reason.
Can you send the actual ticket? Sometimes theres a sign that a parking space is ‚reserved‘ or you parked the car not in the correct way that is shown in the sign

Translate the ticket. It should be about something else. Probably parked in not allowed place.
Or point exact place in google maps where you parked.
