It’s taken them more than a decade to realize this. It’s too late. We need to go from 0 to 100 in the next 3 months and secure midterms. Once that is done you can expect Orange cheeto to have a huge, disorganized and fascist response, which we will have to counter PHYSICALLY because you know it will get there. Ultimately we need to cut off blue welfare from southern states first at state-level payroll. I have no clue how private companies will do that, but we need options OUT OF THE BOX of current centrist-dem mentality.

They need to stop saying that gerrymandering is „not playing by the rules“.
It absolutely *is* playing by the rules as they currently exists.
The current rules suck so they should (and are) actively trying to change the rules to make things better.
DoomOne on
There are no rules. There haven’t been rules for over a decade. Now they’ve realized it, democrats have years worth of disadvantages to overcome.

Took them way too long to figure this out. Literally should have flipped the script at least by Obama’s second term but most definitely by 2016.
Now it may be way too late.

Is this the dude that cried cuz of David Hogg?

Good on him for actually saying the democrats need to fight instead of MAGA needs to calm down. That might finally make some moderates (especially moderate citizens) start taking this seriously and actually prepare.
And good on him for referring to this as “bringing a pencil to a gun fight” cause that’s *literally what’s happening*

it’s playing by the rules and also listening to your base
how yinz lost 2 elections in 2016 and 2024 is inexcuable and shows a fundamental messaging flaw. No way Trump should have won so easily in 2024.
Listen to what people want. Message your platform better. And choose better candidates. Doing Bernie dirty in 2016 pissed off a LOT of people.
I know the Democratic party is not stupid. They literally won in 2020. But how do you lose two elections that should be slam dunks? Don’t just say the other side and that half this country is in a cult. There’s more than that

>Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin on Monday praised his party’s efforts to push back on GOP-friendly congressional maps in Texas, arguing Democrats can’t be the only ones who “play by the rules anymore.”
>“I’m sick and tired of this Democratic Party bringing a pencil to a knife fight. We cannot be the only party that plays by the rules anymore. We’ve got to stand up and fight,” Martin said as the DNC kicked off its Monday meeting in Minnesota.
>“I call on all of us to fight for a country that’s being attacked from the inside, a country being attacked by an insidious force. … And are you ready to fight? I know Texas is always ready for that, right? Right, Texas? Is California ready for that fight?” the DNC chair said, prompting cheers.

Only took 15 years for the DNC to arrive at the correct conclusion. Heres an idea: maybe democratic voters should be demanding every single one of these people step down and let people more capable of meeting the moment take charge. I know, crazy idea right!

Today I learned that there is someone as DNC chair. This party sucks. There is no coordination. Why don’t they have a Project 2026, or 2028? There is no obstructionism, congress is still full of dems that are trading stocks. This party needs new leadership that will not only say Trump is bad (which won’t win over his supporters) but that there is a plan to shore up our democracy and kick out the special interests.

Democrats don’t need to start breaking the rules. They need to start enforcing the ones we have. We had 4 years of Biden and virtually nothing happened because he didn’t want to „go after“ a political opponent. In doing so he let a racist criminal become president again.
Biden and Garland not being willing to trow the book at Trump because it would look bad, will end up being the death knell of our democracy.
