Ghislaine Maxwells Zeugnis sagt viel über unsere Dystopie aus. Dass der US -Präsident eine Charakterzertifikat von einem verurteilten Verbrecher benötigt, ist ziemlich angemessen.

    1. Shame that doesn’t go both ways, otherwise Trump saying Epstein was a great guy would have gone a long way towards clearing Epstein’s name about those scurrilous accusations!

Convicted criminal helping out a fellow convicted criminal. Bandits in cahoots who’da thunk. It’s like a horribly written comedy with bad outcomes.

When a convicted sex trafficker of minors says nice things about you, you’re already lost.

The only acceptable thing a convicted sex trafficker of minors should say about you are as follows:

      1) I have no idea who that is, and
      2) That guy helped put me in jail.

    4. > That the US president needs a character certificate from a convicted criminal is quite befitting.

Not only a criminal. A sex trafficker. A woman who procured underage girls for sex.

Sex they had with nobody, apparently. Oddly. But there you go. The redhat barbells take pride in believing the most absurd and preposterous things.

She wants a pardon. Of course she’s not going to implicate Trump. She can’t be trusted at all.

    6. Great point. When a person – anyone – is getting a character reference from a convicted and jailed child sex trafficker and using it to prove his ‘innocence’ knowing she’s currying favour for a pardon… oh America. Your whole country needs to go to rehab.

A felon and perjurer lying her ass off for a pardon and Trump will say „see? Trump is always right“ or some stupid bullshit and his base will fully back him. MAGA have already moved on to attacking Cracker Barrel and wanting Trump to release troops into every major blue city.

He’s a 34 time thrice impeached felon himself. It’s all just theater to me !

    9. It’s worse that he thinks it will help. And worse still that it *will*.

We’ve always thought that America’s lawyers, the DoJ, were honest and fight for us. Arguments made by them were backed by truth… Now they argue against laws using lies. They’re using freedom of speech like a serpent’s tongue. They really are evil.

    11. Yeah.

This is simple a case of an unreliable narrator.

She’s a horrible human. She’s been directly and indirectly involved with many, many other horrible humans who’ve done horrible things.

So we shouldn’t really take anything she says as truth.

I think we’re all open to hearing her burn down all the evil fucks she associated with.

But if we’re going to believe her when she says bad things about people, how do we rationalize not believing her when she says good things?

I think the answer lies in motive and incentives. But of course – she could also legitimately start making up stories about people too – and there’s plenty of incentive for that too.

      It’s an interesting dilemma.

    12. The second I found out that it was Trumps own lawyer that would be interviewing Maxwell that you just knew this was going nowhere. Time to get out the blank graphic that shows how much people believe him, you know, the chart showing the upward swing that will be the future chart he’ll be using for every negative item in his authoritarian existence

I feel like im watching a plane crash in slow motion. Every time a complex system collapses people always wonder how it happened. And its *never* a single thing. It’s a chain of fuck ups and dereliction that brings such complex things down.

When the history books are written about this the kids who read them will wonder as much as we did reading about Germany in the 30s how a nation like ours could be led by the nose to destruction

    14. A positive character reference from a convicted sex trafficker, isn’t the flex Donald thinks it is.

    15. a convicted felon saying that another convicted felon is a good guy? Great!

    16. It’s hilarious that he can’t find a single soul that will vouch for him who isn’t a known criminal, liar, or both…..literally surrounds himself with the worst people on the planet.

People keep forgetting, “birds of a feather flock together”……he surrounded himself with thieves, swindlers/fraudsters, conmen, rapists, liars, and chomos…….think on that one…
