      Damn, those 2k year old satellite images are looking fantastic. The Romans really were millenia ahead in terms of scientific advancement.

      I wish they’d 3D scan the model so we could fly around it, not just look at it from a distance.

    5. In it’s prime it was inhabited by more than 1 million people. Mind blowing given how dramatically less people were around at the time. Also it took almost 2000 years until any city reached this population again.

      They should rebuilt it as much as possible. These ruins that are almost flattened to the ground are not so interesting.
