color is in our phone now with hues in the spectrums. why do we need it in real anymore lmao digital world for our digital selves i guess. the book dopamine nation seems lost at this point lol

    2. In this exact case. I very much doubt there is anything beyond “They’ll come to our chain even if we save money on decoration” if anything is out to warp our brain, I don’t think social media needs any help from a dull looking fast food joint. Just see all the different trends on the conspiracy subs, you don’t need much hindsight to see how much unimaginative noise there is on around here.

    3. So the whole minimalist movement didn’t happen before or something is what you’re saying? Life tends to repeat in cycles…this is just another expression of that

It’s just makes me not want to eat there and it works. I haven’t eaten out or had fast food in a couple years since this has started. Plus the prices aren’t helping.

Minus the playground I think most have the same amount of colors used just a more subdued and minimalist design

    6. Coincidentally, all establishments I no longer choose to do business with.

With what they’re trying to charge now, they’re trying to look more like restaurants to justify their ridiculous prices.
      That’s me, being sarcastic.

    8. In reality, it’s about real estate resale value or the ability to lease to a new tenant someday

    9. The real conspiracy is how come the same topic is always trending? I see all the influencers on X posting this same topic. Just a few weeks ago it was Sydney Sweeney. Then it’s was sorority girls. Now this. Are all the influencers controlled?

it’s so the building is easier to sell/lease if the company moves

There was a similar post circulating about fashion brands all making their logos plainer and more similar. Just consume, don’t create

    12. It’s not really a conspiracy it’s more like every organization likes hopping on the minimalist trend and it’s ruining creativity.

      Remind me of Equilibrium
„In a futuristic world, a regime has eliminated war by suppressing emotions: books, art and music are strictly forbidden and feeling is a crime punishable by death.“

There’s too much money in war though.

    14. honestly, they probably don’t even know it. It is probably an unconcious sign of the times with influences that are hidden/beyond our perception.

They are just molding society to expect and accept mediocrity and blandness. Void of all creativity, excitement, and in some cases vibrant colors.

    16. Fashion affects everything. Bland colors have been trending more and more for years. But in some subcultures there is now some momentum building to bring some color back. For example UI design.

It’s comes down to people being sheep and not wanting to stand out. At some point the herd noticed that they turned everything almost monotone. In the next few years you will start to see people being ridiculed for not using enough color on facades or vehicle exteriors etc. as the pushback becomes the dominant trend.
