Politicians make the decisions, but it’s always the soldiers and taxpayers who carry the cost

    2. Because not paying your soldiers has always worked out well for those in charge.

      /s

Would be funny if they embezzled ICE funds to pay for it though.

    3. >Wyoming troops were deployed to D.C. in January to provide security during Trump’s inauguration. That deployment cost $250,000 from the state’s readiness accounts, and Wyoming is still waiting to be reimbursed by the federal government.

A Trump never pays his debts.

    4. We’re all going to feel the cost of this. Well except the billionaires slumming it on Reddit.

    5. The NG is going to front all the costs bc the Pedo Taco Don the Diddler never pays his bills.

The system wasn’t designed for this kind of misuse. Its going to crack.

LOL Making them secretary’s for DHS. Per info they shared yesterday.

    8. They want us to go broke.

      It’s razed earth.

They will be gone and we will be $38T in debt with nothing to show for it.

Not sure where I read it, but I read that the home States pay the first 30 days, then the Fed picks it up.

    10. I hope the mental and emotional cost of knowing most Americans now not only don’t respect you but hate you is worth it. That respect could be earned back, but seems unlikely in the next few decades.

And there will be no VA services to fall back on in the fallout from all of this. Those are already being eliminated.

The fact anyone or any institution or anything thinks they’ll actually be paid back by the grifter in chief, regardless of how much butt licking they do, is the definition of stupidity. This piece of shit has been doing it for nearly 60 professional years, and stupid people still haven’t caught on.

Trump, the pedophile philandering presidential dictator has found a new way to bankrupt the country, one state at a time…

    13. Where’s the Epstein Files?Where’s the Epstein Files?Where’s the Epstein Files?

    14. When democrats come back into power we shouldn’t pay any of those bills without a massive public apology from the governor for abusing the powers granted to them.

    15. We are just moving the forever wars closer to home now. Think of all the money we will save from not having to ship over an entire Burger King! /s

Did you know that the national birth rate is in decline with educated people? We literally have a population of idiots increasing in voting numbers every day.

Not to mention the cost of respect. I don’t know if anyone that supports this deployment and expect NG to refuse it.

This is going get really weird.

Crowds: What the fuck are you doing here?

      Troops: We don’t know!

The NG isnt doing anything police aren’t doing already right? They’re just assisting? If so how is this any different than just more cops on the street. The time to worry would be if they declare martial law and suspend constitutional protections like the 4th.

Grow some balls boys and do something brave about it. Just don’t leave out the enablers.

The red headed dumpster child is but a puppet for people like Leona.

    21. Almost like he’s doing this to drain accounts so that when *real* emergencies occur, the state doesn’t have the funds to pay for it.

Fighting back might be to ruin their budgets, increase their workloads and locking them down. Like how the germans got pinned by the resistance.

If a president wanted to become effectively a dictator, he’d likely:

      1. Purge govt of non loyalists
      2. Weaponize law against opponents
      3. Use military to police opposition strongholds
      4. Threaten media, schools, businesses w penalties to get them to heel
      5. Change election rules in his favor.

    24. Kind of a meta question here but if the president has the ultimate authority over the National Guard, why do they exist? What is the difference between them and the Army, Air Force, etc? They’re supposed to be a State ‚Militia are they not?

    25. FrecklesNICE on

Imagine having a small company and over 2/3 are called into service for this bullshit. My brothers company will have to hire replacements then fire them when the guard get back. Jeez

    26. Childofthesea13 on

Maybe they can remember their oaths and stop acting as humpty dumpty’s personal police force

    27. But I feel like the biggest cost of this bullshit is not money itself but the whole concept of freedom

    28. Bankrupt all of the state and federal agencies before the biggest economic downturn since the depression. What could go wrong?
