Such a waste of money and disrespectful to our national guard. Put that money in programs that solve the issues. 6 out of 77 neighborhoods in Chicago account for 95% of the violent crime. Those places are food deserts, job deserts and school deserts. They won’t have the balls to go into Chatham or Englewood – instead they will park them at the tourist places and they will just stand around. On top of that our governor has not signalled for federal help – it’s illegal. Disgusting but expected with this fascist administration. We the people deserve better.

It is excruciatingly evident that such dictatorial measures will be enforced more and more frequently from now on to the point that they become common. Complicity can no longer be treated as ignorance. Inaction can no longer be a luxury but ought to solely function as a burden. Frivolous, erratic and self-serving behaviour should be seen for what it is and never be accepted as an aspect of the political stage one cannot alter. With every passing day things become more bleak and we edge closer to Orwellian waters.
None of this would be happening right now if Democrats and their aligned but independent voters had actually bothered to vote at the same percentages they did in 2020.
