Reading comments on this post , to me it seems like most people don’t even understand what Digital Euro is. They just read a conspiracy theory and start believing it
To simplify
Digital euro is optional. If you don’t want to use Digital euro , you nave following options
– make cash payments as you do today. Cash is not going away.
– make credit card / debit card payments which are processed via payment providers like Visa / Mastercard and happily share your data with US companies. This option is also not going away
– use a random crypto currency and call it money
If you don’t want to use Digital Euro, you don’t need to. You can continue living your life as it is.
