Thought it was pretty cowardly (and a waste of a junket) for Eby to go all the way to Asia and eschew his province’s largest trading partner in the region, just when the relationship needs the most attention. I guess only the right winger is allowed to go to China is still true from Nixon’s day.

There’s nothing a provincial premier can do about international trade if he is not doing it in conjunction with the federal government. Simply „inviting“ the federal government to „tag along“ doesn’t work.
Jist like all the other premiere trying to show themselves as „important“ at the international level, it won’t change a thing.
In Quebec, we call that „péter plus haut que l’trou“!
