      I think Lorne’s decisions are becoming increasingly more questionable.

      He deserves to get called out more than he has.

      I was so confused by that backlash when it happened. I had family members who acted like she murdered their puppy and pissed on it. To me, it was just Sinéad being Sinéad. Punk rock to her core, that one. RIP.

      Someone should ask him about Damon Wayans too! Loren’s season 11 indentured black cast member,* who Michaels only featured whenever a (another writers’) skit necessitated a black man; Likewise, whenever a skit needed a black woman, Lorne Michaels told Damon to put on a dress (if he wanted to get on TV)… until Wayans acted out and disrupted an on-air bit with ~~another~~ an authorized exaggerated stereotype performance… resulting in Lorne aggressively firing him on the spot.

      ^(a hiring practice Loren Michaels exploited for almost 30 more year, until finally shamed for it in 2014)

      Lest we forget, the inspiration for Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers films was Lorne Michaels. It’s pretty much Mike Myers doing his Lorne Michaels impression.

      Fun Fact (albeit unrelated): Dana Carvey has been in a film with Mike Myers AND a film with Michael Myers.

      Lorne Michaels, the guy who hires the “funniest” people and then kneecaps them. All of the best SNL comics find an opportunity to walk away but all know better than badmouthing him.. wonder why?

      Kris Kristofferson is the ONLY dude who ever stood up for Sinead. Lorne Michaels was absolutely not in her corner at any point in her life.

      Who here was watching it live as it happened? I did. My heart fell out of my chest when it happened. I failed her in that moment. I didn’t understand then, I know better now. Lorne and the musical community failed her as well. A little late for this.

      I was never a fan of her music, but she was treated horribly just for speaking the truth. Lorne is a hypocritical piece if shit.

      Sure he would have. Not. What an asshole. He did nothing. And she was brave AND completely correct. Fuck Frank Sinatra too. Guy was a raging narcissist. Watch Detective (1968) if you can stomach it. It’s an ego stroker vehicle film.
