Should just bam the eBikes that are above 250w. They’re a scourge to everyone. I use my sub 250w ebike to bring my children to crèche/school and these idiots come tearing up the segregated cycle lane. They’re lethal.

    2. E scooters a fucking lethal. Speed of them. Whizzing around oblivious to the shitshow they face if they come off at those speeds.

    3. Those Surons are more electric motorbike than e-bike. They’ve taken the place of scramblers in a lot of parts of Dublin.

If they go fast enough and they’re big enough they should absolutely be treated like motorcycles.

    5. Is this something else the Gardai don’t care about or is it just incompetence

Im surprised we dont hear more injuries and deaths on these things, to be honest , especially when half the people on them dont wear helmets.

Law enforcement needs to be much more aggressive with clamping down on scramblers and the likes. We tend to be way more reactive to these problems rather than preventative. This won’t be the last story like this….

These are electric motorbikes. Used by scrotes all over the shop. Worse than other brands often used by delivery drivers.

All illegal and there’s absolutely zero enforcement by the guards as usual.

    9. Imagine we had a newspaper article like this every time someone was injured in a car crash?

This is insane all these crazy “e-bikes” are still allowed on the roads. Must be banned.

    11. Until I read the article I didn’t know it was a girl hit by an e-bike.

From the title I assumed that a young girl crashed an e-bike, not the best article headline there.

    12. Yep I think it’s crazy that they are calling them e-bikes. There are no peddles. Just an electric off road motor bike. Should have tax and insurance and a licence to drive them
