Ich habe eine Weile verhalten und geschrieben, aber im Februar 2023 wurde mir diagnostiziert Motoneuronerkrankung.
Ich habe einen Mann mit einem Mann über meine Diagnose geschrieben, mit MND lebt und eine experimentelle Drogenstudie durchgemacht. Es heißt Mein rechter Fußeine Anspielung auf Meine linke Nussund auch die Krankheit, die zuerst in meinem rechten Fuß vorgestellt wurde.
Es sollte hoffentlich ein bisschen wie ein Craic sein (obwohl es um etwas ziemlich Grimes geht). Es ist im Rahmen des Dublin Theatre Festivals vom 7. bis 10. Oktober im Axis Theatre in Ballymun.

I'm a writer/actor. I was diagnosed with MND in Feb '23. I've written a play about living with the disease – 'My Right Foot' – it's on in Dublin Theatre Festival in October.

Good for you, bud! I’m out in the sticks so can’t pay a visit but let me know if there’s any other way to show my support.
My bass hero, Charles Mingus, suffered from MND. He kept creating right to the very end. This is him directing a band during the first album where he couldn’t play bass anymore. It contains one of my favourite recordings of his, and he isn’t even playing on it, Devil Woman. Here’s a photo of that recording session with Mingus in a wheelchair on the right.
