Werde ich mit gelbem Licht bestraft? Hinter mir hielten alle auf. Ich habe ein Video von meinem Dashcam und es zeigt mir deutlich, wie ich mit Gelb und nicht rot passt, aber es hat immer noch ein Foto gemacht.
Kann ich es verwenden, um meine eventuelle Geldstrafe abzusagen?

This looks like the highway exit into Zurich City at Manesse. I can’t really say based on a video but it looks like you went faster than 50 km/h, or the traffic light just turned red when you passed it. In any case, it was yellow for a while and you could have stopped – and should have to avoid the (probably CHF 250) fine.

If correctly calibrated, red light cameras only trigger 1 second after the light became red. So I would say you get a speeding fine, not a red light fine.

If it calms you: I’ve had similar situations in the past (passing clearly in yellow not red, but there was the flashes) and I never actually received a fine.
Obviously that doesn’t guarantee that you won’t receive one. But judging from the red light situation you shouldn’t. Can’t tell if you were too fast. (But afaik too fast would only flash once, so probably red light.)
End of highway, exit Zurich City, red light camera. Likely gonna costs you 250.-. Yellow means stop, without having to do an emergency stop. You get less than a second to pass the yellow without getting a ticket.
Your probably just extremely unlucky.

You will get no fine – you weren’t too fast and you didn’t pass at red light. Most probably the device wasn’t even calibrated properly yet. And as for the green Stadzürchers… well, they like to regulate everything, but they actually understand close to nothing about the subject 😀

P.s. in some traffic light the green lasts very few seconds. If you have start and stop, the time the car start it will become again yellow, and if your brain was set on the idea to start… and go with yellow
Nah bro this is speed ticket, happened to me some time ago, 40chf fine on the way…
It is a combined traffic light AND speed camera. Thing is, people tend to „speed up just a little bit“ when it’s the last seconds of green. And then it has turned to amber. But you’re already speeding. WYD? Accelerate more, right?

Reminder that yellow means „prepare for red“, not „race the intersection“. If it is yellow and you still have the time to stop, you must stop. Crossing on yellow is only okay when it is too late to slow down.
