Because of your immune system working as intended?
I imagine this has something to do with the fact that your immune system is probably still in a bit of “combat mode” and that the common cold virus is also a coronavirus, so there may be similarities that the immune system can recognize it as a “bad bug”.
With the caveat that I’m not an expert in this field at all and it’s just a guess on my part.
