      And yet he let Trump say on his show, with no pushback, that the 2020 election was stolen and he’d give Joe evidence very soon. He’s had 5 years to provide any evidence and hasn’t, but Joe uncritically accepted that it was coming any day now. Joe’s outrage only seems very selective.

This is why crowing “release the files!” isn’t the rhetorical masterstroke people think it is, and why running stories about Rogan “starting to turn” isn’t the win people think it is. Liberal intuitions about Trump are consistently wrong. There’s no win on this issue, because institutions will never hold someone like Trump accountable. Institutions like the DOJ would rather capitulate or be turned inside-out than lift a finger against this man.

      Can we stop calling it a scandal? It’s a crime. It’s a felony. I think the word scandal doesn’t give it the gravitas it deserves. Too many people have scandals which comes from the word scandalous and this isn’t just scandalous. It’s much worse than that. It’s depravity at its finest.
