Wenn die Welt älter wird, fühlt es sich an, als würden Designs fauliger und so einfach. Fast -Food -Ketten waren früher auffällige und einzigartige Designs, jetzt sind sie nur eine Schachtel mit einfachen Farben. Es gab keine "Weltwunder, die in Hunderten von Jahren gebaut wurden. Warum verwandelt sich die Welt in eine simpele, grundlegende und langweilige Welt? Ist der Zombie -Modus der Menschen, die sie nur in einer grundlegenden Welt akzeptieren?

Technology, cost, labor, efficiency. Back in the day you had 16 year old apprenticing under a master craftsman and specializing in one thing…let’s say ornate fence making. Now you have production facilities overseas that can fabricate the fence and they just install it here requiring less expertise than the master craftsman of the past. Not a conspiracy, just evolution of efficiency

You can see it in cars as well, so many brands yet almost all cars look identical. Let me perhaps flip the question and ask – why the music from the 80s was mostly simple synths, why most of the people in the 80s across the world (not US predominantly) would still watch black and white TVs, why Pop Art was basically the same picture in different color pallette?

i used to work in technical writing. when we have to write things that will be printed in the millions. everything from the font, color, and ink were specified to save maximum money to squeeze every damn penny. i think they simplified their logo to save money

I just travelled from Ontario to Sweden, and holy shit the old architecture was incredible. Just this week they are moving an ENTIRE CHURCH to help it survive rising water levels. I hate the brutalist design of western buildings
Cheap and easy and everything matches.

Brutalism is. Well. Brutal
A lot of people are saying because it’s cheaper to produce, which may be true, but also has to do with demoralizing society. The uglification agenda spans from architecture to modern art to body positivity. It is indeed a basic tenant of the satanic new world order to perceive ugly things as beautiful and visa versa. A „self report“ or „projection“ of the ugliness in their minds if you ask me. The reason they do this is because a demoralized society is easy to control and will produce no resistance when global social credit scores and carbon allowances are introduced.
You can even see the uglification in cartoons: Pixar has gone from cool, quirky characters to everyone looks the same with bean mouth.

People aren’t craftsman anymore. Trades died.
We house way more people today then we did a hundred years ago.
Human population was like 1.8 billion or 22% of what it is today.
You can’t scale up intricate design patterns like that when you have to provide housing for 5 times as many people. Its all about volume.
Then you have the evil D.R Horton and Lennar’s of the world who are soulless property developers covering the country in cookie-cutter housing developments. Its all about the almighty dollar at the end of the day. They don’t care about putting people in homes, they want to sell you a house, 4 walls and a roof.
The faster they crank them out, the more money they make, quality be damned.
With the downfall of public infrastructure like the railings, that just comes down to infrastructure spending.
Look up Old Penn Station in NYC if you rly want 2 feel bummed out. It was utterly beautiful. They ended up tearing it down because all the big money interests wanted to force everyone to buy a car and drive far away in new roads to their new-fangled suburban home.
Dystopian, grey and dull, wants to make everyone miserable and not want to go outside. Wants us unmotivated
Because it’s anti-human.
