      Yep. It’s because the tarrifs and uncertainty around rules and responsibilities. And it’s not only a Norwegian problem as the postal service has stated its the same for many european countries that face the same problems vis a vis the US.

    3. There are a few exceptions. For example, a package under $100 USD marked as «gift» can still be sent between private persons. Letters/documents can still be sent as usual.

      We got the same message here in Denmark too. And yes the orange Caligula can’t seem to find out whatever is going on about the tariffs.

    5. Only if you are using the postal service. Other carriers like FedEx, UPS, DHL ++ who have a US customs bond and local customs brokerage will still forward shipments < $800 to US.

      It’s correct, and also applies to every other European country as far as I know. They have stated that they have to pause shipments pending information from US customs on how to correctly process these shipments going forward.

      Shipping will likely resume as soon as US customs provides instructions, assuming those instructions are possible to implement within the existing framework.
