Why bother with protecting/maintaining the Earth when we can focus on two bodies that are savagely inhospitable to human life?

I could understand NASA moving away from this („*National Aeronautics and Space Administration*“ and climate science isn’t really space after all).
The problem is that as far as I know nobody else is picking up the slack. THIS is scandalous.
Not that it seems to matter anymore, but he does not have the authority to Make that call. He has not been confirmed by the Senate, and even if he had, the legislature sets the funding priorities, including whether NASA should study climate. One more anti-democratic power grab.
