I can’t see the video, just the description. It sounds like they got off without making a scene? Also, they’re 18. A lot of 18 year olds are assholes. Unfortunately I see it every day walking around lol I know their father is a horrible human being but unless I’m missing something they weren’t too egregious. So the story is that two sisters got on a rollercoaster, were instructed to put their phones away, didn’t, were then not allowed on the ride and were asked to leave, and they did. I guess, one could say, this is barely news.

There are people in the past who have defied the rules of amusement park rides. Some of them are dead and don’t have their heads attached to their bodies anymore. Really seems like a dumb place to choose to defy rules.

Yeah, you cannot have a cell phone out. This is a hazard for starters- they can hit other riders if they let go. It’s also a huge freaking pain in the ass because people often drop them and then demand to get tgem back. Most parks make it very clear nothing can be retrieved during operating hours. I worked at an amusement park summers in college, and this was a problem.
They’re also freaking stupid, because the operator can’t do shit if they take them out after the ride starts. Which is what people tended to do. And a decent sized group would drop them and scream about it despite being reminded they weren’t supposed to have them out in the first place.
The ride operator did his job. He doesn’t deserve to be dragged for this
