    1. The Finnish market seemed to be the worst of both worlds tbh, long and tedious recruitment process (except for the networking hidden job market) and claim that it is because employers are afraid to make a mistake and can’t fire, while at the same time you have long trial period and quite expedite process to get rid of people when finance dictate, we are talking 2 weeks negotiation and 1 month notice. Unions are okish for collective bargaining, but not so much for negotiation with SME where it is just an administrative process. And of course the requirement for huge experience even in new subjects, and on top of that for some demographic other issues like Finnish fluency and so on.
Instead of working on that it seems it is easier to cut benefits. It would probably be more cost effective for the state to act as guarantee for new hire than pretend make people poorer with less resource go back to work.

Is there people abusing the system, for sure, but not only on one side.

So we are fucked either way, nice. I would think it’s not so hard to find workers if u pay them enough and don’t demand they have years and years of experience. How do the employers expect there to be experienced work force when they are not willing to invest in it, someone has to hire the people who graduate to give them the experience the employers are demanding.

Also these days it’s so common to want people on 0 hour contracts or otherwise with contracts that don’t pay enough to live with. Is it a suprise people don’t want those? If you do a short work contract you are fucked because you will lose ur benefits and have to deal with kela bullshit for months because u managed to work for a while, amd that ends up making those part time contracts net negative for people.
