Not enough support, we need to reintroduce our population to are armed forces first , easiest way is threw cadets and reserves in more area and better funded .
It was a big mistake considating our forces and closing bases as 90+ % of our population are disconnected from CAF members and are viewed as Aliens.
The further right thinks their government bots , the further left thinks their baby killers and the middle dont know much about them besides the fact that they have to pay more taxes because of them.

All the talk of forcing Canada’s youth to work for basically free or as slaves is infuriating.
He talks about Kapritirk which has served 40,000 youth over the years. Or the proposed system to bring 120,000 new recruits to the millitary for 1 year stints.
But completely ignores completly voluntary programs like the Canadian Cadet program which has seen around 1.5 million youth go though it since it’s inception (70,000 per year) and a large percentage of the CAF (and pilots in general) is filled with former cadets who have learned (completly voluntarily) about the CAF through those interactions.
For 1 the CAF cannot handle 120,000 new recruits for 1 year stints.
For 2 why force people when voluntarily they will join.
For 3 use the tools we have, in urban areas accross this country the cadet program turns away thousands of youth because they cannot house them with current budget, spaces and supports. Aim to triple/quadruple the size of that program and you will have all the CAF recruits you will ever need even with the low percentage that ends up joining and the ones that do tend to be career people the CAF can confidently invest training into rather then 1 year stints.
And 4, just stop with this silly notion that conscription is a good thing. It’s a last ditch effort when everything is dire and the future of our country is at risk, it’s not some cheap labour practice to get young people to give up the best years of their life for free/bascially free just so you don’t have to pay real wages for real work..
