Ich weiß, dass ich nicht allein in meiner Liebe zu Irlands alten Megalithischen Gräbern und Sehenswürdigkeiten bin, also habe ich alle aufgenommenen Standorte in ganz Irland kartiert. Daten für Nordirland enthält keine Kategorien, aber Sie können die Gesamtverteilung erkennen. Für die Republik habe ich die von den NMS bereitgestellten Pannen aufgenommen.
Die Karte kombiniert historische Denkmaldaten aus dem National Monument Service (NMS) in Irland mit der Abteilung für Gemeinden Historische Denkmaldaten. Ich habe die Datenquellen mit einer grundlegenden Transformation in PowerQuery gereinigt und dann QGIS zur Visualisierung verwendet (ich lerne langsam, wie es geht!).
Es gibt offensichtlich einige Trends, die Sie aus den Daten sehen können, insbesondere die Konzentrationen von Keil- und Felsgräben im Südwesten. Ich bin sicher, Sie können noch viele mehr erkennen, die ich auch nicht bemerken würde.

Alle Gedanken über die Karte oder die Datenerkenntnisse wären sehr willkommen.

This map makes me wonder if the gaps in the east are due to less activity in the neolithic or if they are because of „current“ factors that make it harder to find these tombs and sites. Like them being destroyed from civilisations in the last 1000 years, people building on top of them or more cultivation of fields and so on.
