      Election fraud via mail in ballot is the easiest thing in the world to get caught doing.. someone needs to ask where all the arrests are.

      Like to illegally vote via mail in most states you have to 1) register to vote 2) request a ballot be mailed to you 3) get that ballot from the mail fill it out and mail it back in

      Now that’s a lot of paper trail to leave, also it’s not like you can request 50 mail in ballots to the same address let alone the 50k you’d need to make any fucking difference.. because that’d get you arrested immediately. So you’d need 50k eligible voters who you know aren’t voting themselves, then 50k ballots mailed to 50k different addresses, the full those 50k ballots out and mail them back in… This is not a feasible way to rig an election.

      Who would have guessed that the same man that did an insurrection, that suck off dictators like Putin, Kim Jong Un, Bolsonaro, that is putting military in the streets to kidnap people and intimidate political oppenents would find ways to rig the elections. Truly unexplainable.

      They can’t win a fair election and they know it. Everything that swung voters for him in the last election is going very poorly and as rabid as his base is, there are a large number of voters who (for reasons I struggle to comprehend) voted for him because they seemed to honestly think he would create a positive economy and „clean up“ „criminal“ immigrants and are appalled at his wishy-washy tariffs, massive inflation, poor jobs numbers, and the sheer brutality of his immigration enforcement. They’re definitely experiencing buyers remorse, and Trump wants to make sure there’s no way for them to make a return.

      Accidentally? Come on. He literally just doesn’t care. It’s not an accident. Of course this is the plan, and he’s fine with saying it now. This is just classic fascism. Nothing else. I’ve been saying for years that Trump would make sure real elections are a thing of the past. Few people believed me. Now people are even pretending that this is a „distraction“ from the Epstein stuff, rather than accepting that THIS IS JUST FASCISM. This was the plan all along. He would’ve done this in 2016 if he could’ve done so then.

      By Constitutional design, the states‘ voting structures are independent entities specifically intended to repel exactly what Trump is attempting to do to them: exercise federal control.

      Where are all the Constitutional and small government conservatives now when it’s their tyrant doing this?

      The goal here is to force people to go to polling places and then post federal law enforcement or National Guard at the ones in minority areas. That’s the play. That’s why he’s pulling this shit in DC right now.

      As someone who has worked many election voting locations, I wish more peoole would volunteer their time and just work one day with the staff of mostly elderly ladies. If they did, they would see how many processes, redundancies, and checks are in place to prevent any shenanigans.

      Anytime we get a poll watcher, they get fed up/bored after an hour because they see how rigorous the system is that is in place.

      Mail-in and paper ballots forever!!

      Yup 2024 was our last free election and even then I have doubts it was actually legit. Hell I don’t even think 2020 was fully legit but the mass surge of mail in votes due to Covid 19 rules helped overcome the rig job republicans had in place.

      He can’t issue an executive order for this. Elections are under the pervue of the states. Thats why every state has their own rules and process. The feds have nothing to do with elections

      There has been ONE case of voter fraud in Oregon since 1998. A Clackamas County clerk (Republican) was caught with 50 ballots, all marked for the demented one. They didn’t even make it to the tabulation stage. Iirc, she was fired, then prosecuted, and had to pay a hefty fine.
      BTW, Russia has long had vote by mail, so this is Pootie’s latest attempt to fuck with our elections.

      I think his executive order will not be just about getting rid of mail in ballots, it will be about choosing to use a different „agent“ to count the votes, cutting out the state counters and putting in place „Independent“ vote counters employed by the federal government to count and tabulate the votes instead.

      Why fix an election when you can just fix the count? It’s how all authoritarian leaders who hold „democratic“ elections do it.

      So he’s already tried passing such a law and the courts blocked it. But despite that not only is he planing to try and pass it again, he’s also openly stated that he plans to use it to illegally rig the midterms in his favour. Wow, this is a new level of stupid corruption from him.

      Only reason he hates mail-in ballots is because he rigged the 2020 election to win, but didn’t anticipate mail-in ballots due to Covid, which came in at the end and decimated his fuckery.
