Wird 2029 das erste Mal seit 1910 sein, dass weder Arbeit noch die Tories die allgemeinen Wahlen in Großbritannien gewinnen? Möglicherweise das Ende einer jahrhunderteischen Dominanz dieser beiden Parteien in der britischen Politik markiert.

If the Lib Dem’s promised to start negotiating the UK’s return to the EU, they’d poll a lot higher.
Maybe after Reform win and the country goes further downhill
It’s difficult to understand why the British do not see through Farage. The man is a populist fraud.
So, Farage has run the UK into the ground with Brexit and the voters are coming back for more. We are totally and truly fucked.

Good that established parties get a beating and the UK political landscape is blessed with fresh air. Its good for democracy and bad for corruption when leadership changes.

Too early to tell, there’s still time to go until then.
Cons fumbled the ball by playing the populism card as heavy handed as they did. Now reap the rewards as Europe’s US. Countrymen and continentals; we’re not immune either. Don’t slip up, the stakes are too high.
The UK is going to be suffering from the hubris of the two main parties.
They could have accepted that we need to change our voting system to proportional representation, but instead fought against it with vile propaganda.
Now they’re going to get to experience the consequences of that, and unfortunately it means the whole country has to suffer a Farage government.
Any Europe-loving Brits have got just under four years to get out while they still can. That ship is going down.
I doubt it, these are small sample polls taken ages away from an election. Asking anyone at the doorstep who they’re voting for right now is not going to glean much support for the main parties in their current state. Labour have just launched a hugely unpopular online safety bill and have suffered under the Gaza situation. Conservatives remain rudderless after crashing out from last election. This means that when asked today who will you vote for, the only dead certs are from the Gbeebies sheep.
The only polling figures worth noting are when an election is 18 months out. Tactical voting is also huge in the UK and not reflected by the polls or the FPTP system. You can absolutely expect “anyone but reform” situations if it legitimately looks like they have the smallest chance of gaining power.
Beyond all that though, the most likely scenario (right now) is a hung parliament with a Labour-led coalition.
Deserved.
Next election I will vote either Lib Dems or Reform. Two parties that support abolishing FPTP.
Labour only have themselves to blame, their membership is in favour of ending FPTP but the government don’t listen to the average or poor person.
Maybe if Lord Ali suggested it during one of Keirs groveling sessions they’d implement it.

High chance, Tories trashed the country. Labour is largely continuing the same status quo. Reform we keep getting told are due to sweep to the largest landslide in history, but their momentum has already collapsed and they are loosing MPs and councillors at a stilly rate. Reform are just more of the same as the other two, beyond being more racist, yet somehow people believe they are anti establishment…
Now add in the new Your Party, they’ve gained ground faster than Reform, largest party by membership after existing for a couple of months, yet keep getting left out for some strange reason. An actual party offering an alternative, wildly popular with the people, instead the ones keep getting pushed are more of the same.
We do have a real chance of Labour/Conservatives losing the next election, by all rights the Tories should have been wiped out at the last one, Labour refusing to change anything except online censorship, could lead to them getting slaughtered at the next election. Both pandered to Reform, along with the media, meaning we potentially might get the fascist party voted in. Thankfully we have an alternative, assuming they don’t get buried under the largest media/political smear campaigns in history, again…
Just to point out that a general election is 4 years away and a lot can happen in politics.
Also, our awful FPTP system will mean that the actual result could be wildly different. Look at the Lib Dems and Greens and compare the number of seats they have vs vote share to see what I mean.
The only good thing I can see from Reform is they support PR.

I’m all for destroying the two party system but if it means keeping Reform out, I’ll happily keep voting Labour. Whatever I think of them, they’re the lesser of evils

The main problem is.. that for the normal ppl there are multiple parties.. for stupid ppl that like conspiracy theories etc. There is only one party.. and that is true in most countries… if normal ppl would concentrate on one party they would win..
Second problem is fake media and these parties spinning the narrative in such a way that they always blame others never them self..
3de problem and a big one is, fake media and the amount of garbage there is + the fact that a lot of ppl are hooked (addicted) to scrolling through piles off garbage everyday all day.. so they get indoctrinated with a very negative bias..
These all will lead into a dark time line, as we see in USA.. a lot of ppl can not regulate there own emotions and believe everything in there bubble.. to a point that even war is no problem.. only when an extent periode without news and probably losing some ppl and seeing the effect of war.. will these ppl change.. but yah, the chance of a media detox is next to zero… so ,,, not hope for the future without war
I don’t know much about UK, but that is happening in WHOLE EUROPE right now…. This is terrifying…. Not that the Mainstream Parties lose popularity, but the parties that gain power….

I’m not shocked at all.
People in the UK are desperate for change. They were promised that (in the most vague, non-committal way possible) at the last election by Labour. And they got…more of the same. To be fair, they are doing a lot of good things in the background, like reforming the planning system, and a lot of change takes time. But the same decisions are being made as per the previous government.
Personally, I would rather put staples in my own face than vote Reform. But considering in the last 15 years all three major political parties have been in power, and things have got worse, are we shocked that voters are choosing something, anything else?
I think talking about polls for 2029 in 2025 is not very productive. Constant focus on the elections and polls rather than the political development these elections bring is very exhausting.
I’m British and I think much like with Brexit, the electorate are trying to shock the parties into some sort of action on the pressing issues. A lot of unrest has been brewing for a long time around immigration, the economy, etc… without any real progress or reform to address it. The current government was unpopular even when it was elected due to way that the right vote got split. They were always facing an uphill battle.
A lot on reddit will dismiss it generally as racism, stupidity, etc.. but until a party comes along and addresses their concerns, they will go with what feels most shocking or close to what they want.
I have little sympathy for the Brits. This is entirely a hell of their own making. The tories wouldve won the last election if reform hadnt split the vote. They deserve this for repeatedly electing civic for the last few decades.
