Pine Martin and there very rare around Ireland they are the only predator that can catch and kill the grey squirrels
That’s an odd coincidence. My mum and uncle found a dead pine martin and her dead baby by a road just the other day too :c

Fun fact: they cause millions in auto damage every year, especially in Germany. You may have seen Parkside Anti-Martin Spray in Lidl recently, and they’ve knocked out the large Hadron Collider… twice…
But, as we’re in a dense poplulation zone of them we now have red squirrels living in the area and running through the garden collecting for the winter, so I got that going for me, which is nice.
Edit: I genuinely don’t mind the lil guys and appreciate what they do for the squirrels, and it’s sad seeing some on the road like this, they’re just a little mischievous too and have broken into our kitchen when we left the window in the latch overnight. Clever fellows.

Pine Marten – as others have said, they kill grey squirrels. However, they also kill chickens and honey bees, so not quite as nice as you might have thought.

Pine Marten! They’re absolutely hated in Poland because of how much car damage they cause – they love chewing through cables.

I don’t know,looks like a stoat or a pine marten I think? My late uncle’s little Jack Russell was killed by mink let loose from a fur farm in Longford or Westmeath years ago. She was such tiny little thing, wouldn’t hurt a fly, no chance against a mink.
