Add to that how she now realizes she’s in much deeper than she ever thought she’d be and knows how much physical danger her and her family could be in due to the whims of either Trump or Putin if she doesn’t play long and ever discloses or even hints at anything that happened. It wouldn’t be surprising is Putin had Kompromat that could totally sink every one of the US delegation there so that they all understood how deep they were all in now and having to do whatever they would be told or their worst fears would be realized.
I think it’s a bit like George Orwell’s 1984 when the State not only knew everything about everyone, but they knew each of their most horrifying secrets and fears and breaking points. She, and others in that close circle are probably wishing that they would have never taken their current positions, but understand that someone else would have and they would still now fully realize how evil these two men (plus others) are and what lengths they will go to to get their way, or rather Putin’s way. She and the others there now realize that they aren’t and still wouldn’t be safe in any position or role while Trump is in charge under the direction of Putin. They’re all pawns in a game that is so much more serious than they could have imagined.
