Hisbollah Chef droht „kein Leben im Libanon“, wenn die Regierung versucht, Waffen zu ergreifen

SS: Hezbollah deputy leader Naim Qassem threatened Lebanon’s government over its US backed plan to disarm the group, warning it could spark civil war if weapons were seized by force.

The Lebanese cabinet recently accepted the proposal, which aims to end the presence of armed non-state groups under a long-ignored UN resolution.

President Joseph Aoun reaffirmed the decision, rejecting Iranian interference despite Tehran’s opposition.

Hezbollah, weakened since its 2023–2024 war with Israel, has denounced the move as a betrayal and warned that protests could escalate, even targeting the US Embassy.

Meanwhile, Israel is continuing to attack Hezbollah targets daily and hold strategic positions in outposts inside southern Lebanon. With Hezbollah choosing not or not being capable of responding at all.

Can Lebanon finally become a sovereign nation? Or will it continue it’s status of failure and practically being an Iranian proxy military base made to attack Iran’s enemies?
