Talks, ongoing since February, remain deadlocked over U.S. demands to open India’s farm and dairy sectors and reduce imports of Russian oil. The pause comes as Prime Minister Narendra Modi calls for greater self-reliance, while Indian exporters brace for mounting economic pressure.
I mean what is the point. India has signaled that they don’t willing to even compromise on importing oil from Russia (not that important to them politically). Good luck touching any actual industry.
