I think the biggest thing that a thought/knowledge movement would be for employees and people to abandon medical insurance. Heal/protect their bodies. You take life more seriously without insurance. You focus on prevention. Imagine it just all disappeared.

This is why research at educational institutions is important. Everything has bias, but I’d rather have bias from people invested in making lives better versus making a profit.

Meme is trash.
I’ll say this though. Last month I had a herniated disk in my lower back. Came out of nowhere. I was bed ridden for 5 days. Couldn’t move with out feeling like a knife was being put in my lower back. Pain was 12/10 almost passed out trying to walk 5 feet to the toilet.
I know it sounds hokey, but it worked for me. I did a protocol of 1tbsp of turmeric 3 times a day. Natural muscle relaxers comprising of valerian root and skullcap. Took PEA 600mg twice daily and smoked a little weed before bed. Once I was able to, I would walk around and try to stretch my lower back. After the 5th day I was able to get out of bed with a cane. By the 12th day I was back at work. Sore and stiff, but completely mobile with no help.
I read horror stories of back surgeries, countless pain killers and expensive pharmaceuticals, and anywhere between 2 months to a year recovery and you may not ever be fully back to normal.
3 weeks and I was back to 100%. I know anecdotes are worth nothing, but it worked for me and I avoided doctors, chiros, and PT’s completely.

Okay, but even if we accept that, isn’t all of this still ultimately a result of capitalism? Isn’t that the real evil here?

Today’s MDs are playing the match game. Match the symptom with the pharmaceutical. Whip out the pad and send them to the closest pharmacy. Not because they don’t necessarily care, but, because from pre-med classes to residency, the match game is the mindset. By design.
We were warned years ago about the Military Industrial Complex, and, even today, we refuse to deep dive into how bad THAT is. Meanwhile, the Big Legal Drug Pusher Industrial Complex was saying, „Hold my beer!“.
We’ve let too many facets of our lives become industrial complexes. And, when they do, our lives become part and purpose of feeding THEIR machine.
I think we could be on the good side of the point of no return on Big Ag, Big Food, Big Meds, Big bunch of Boondoggles. But, if we continue to let Big Phone keep us Ticking and Tocking rather than investigating under the proverbial rocks, and the interwebs becomes more and more data harvesting rather than an information gathering tool, it won’t be long before the point of no return is long behind us, and the open water beckons below, as our engines sputter.
Wanna know where to start? Find a D.O. vs. an M.D., or an M.D. that will place hands on you in examination, rather than pen to paper to pharmacy. There are still some needles in the haystack.

Rat studies, eat less live longer, especially here in good ol murica. I started caring at 35, quit most poisons, but the more you just look it’s all killing us. My water bill comes with a tucked 3rd page letter that consumption or intake may lead to liver/ kidney disease and cancers due to cleaning agents and also some lead. Yatta yatta pay up. Cool place. Kinda just wanna go back to drinking and being happy…like the damned. Clarity is just tiring.

It’s okay to have skepticism, because we can see cases like thalidomide. But sometimes, like penicillin, the medicine actually is trustworthy.
