St John’s Wood in Roscommon – believed to be the oldest ancient woodland in Ireland
Also Kilbroney Park in Down – one of the very few examples of native woodland that stretches from a mountain peak to the sea (most of Kilbroney is conifers but the native woodland is absolutely beautiful) – very very scenic
