      He’s turning out as the forerunner for democratic presidential nominee simply because he’s the only democrat standing up against Trump right now. Everyone else is complacent.

      Edit: All the fighting under my comment is why republicans keep winning. Stop trying to be moralistic and support the candidate with the best chance. No one’s perfect, not even you. Morals dont matter in these times. Wake tf up.

      Also, dont forget the Epstein files.

      God this man is insufferable. Americans can see right through his sick twisted way to con people into thinking he’s anything more than a silver spooned power hungry politician. He goes on these young podcasts right after the election to try to come off as likable, now he’s trying to use memes to troll… it stinks of desperation.

      Your record is who you are. You’re a guy who imposed ridiculous lockdown rules while dining at the French Laundry because you think your judgment of who to trust and how to exist is more important than the rest of the country. You allow the homeless and lawlessness to run wild in your state, letting beautiful cities like LA and San Fran become absolutely disgusting…. Except for where you live. We see right through it.

      You don’t have to agree with all of his policies or bring everything he said in past or start with „I don’t like Newsom but…“, just because you don’t want him as the 2028 candidate. You can still appreciate what he’s doing. **And** push *your* candidates, the one you want on 2028 ticket, to get a little more aggressive. Politics is not like what it was a couple of cycles ago anymore, where you wait until midterms to start your campaign.

      I’d like to see more aggression from him. Maybe some pressers talking about redistricting and how he doesn’t want to do it but the Republicans are cheating and you have to fight fire with fire

      As a conservative, I recently discovered Newsoms podcast and listened to his appearance on the Shawn Ryan Show, and I have to admit… he may have my vote if he runs next election.

      He is very appealing to centrists and agrees on a few sensible conservative ideas.

      I understand the „meme“ game being effective, but its also extremely depressing that voting in this country is based on memes and imo i don’t think in an election voters left of center actually care about out memeing Republicans.

      I care about policies that will uplift marginalized communities, redistribute wealth, and actually work to make the country better.

      Those are the policies that will expand the democratic coalition, not funny memes.

      The US has become such an unserious country. They elected a narcissistic clown to be in charge and now apparently trolling is the normal language of politics. What Newsom’s doing is hilarious, but I’m glad I get to watch it from afar.

Let us start electing a prime minister and parliament, stat. Donald Trump has probably already handed off war plans to Putin in their little joyride yesterday.
