      Trump is one of the least qualified leaders to be negotiating with Putin.

      Worse, he picks people for loyalty and those who grovel to him, so the people that are assisting him in these negotiations are not the most expert and qualified.

      The truth is, Trump doesn’t care about Ukraine. He’s far more interested in a worthless trophy than stopping the killing, and that’s all that is really motivating him.

      This is why competent diplomats are sent in first, so the deal is done before the world leaders meet to finalize it. Trump is such a narcissistic psychopath, he thinks he can just waltz in and “make a deal” on the fly. He’s such an embarrassment to America.

      We’re in Groundhog Day again. After the meeting, rather than take questions from the assembled press, Trump told Fox News that he will consider sanctions ‘maybe in two weeks, three weeks’.

      Yet he has no problem sanctioning US allies on a whim.

      The more I think about this, the more odd this is. Like long-term, how can Ukraine expect anything else other than Russia invading again? 

      This can’t end with no repercussions against Russia, and really America should chime in as well. If America is supposed to guarantee no moves to get Ukraine into NATO, Russia has to agree to no further attacks against Ukraine and no attempts to gain any more territory. Which honestly seems like a deal I wouldnt expect to be upheld by either side. Especially in today’s climate.

      Like pretty much an open war between America and Russia that resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths just ends like this? With a friendly smile and a handshake and acommodating Russia completely? Doesnt make that much sense, but considering how the summit ended, Putin just gained leverage he won’t let go.

      Why were they talking about American election procedures instead of Ukraine? If the plan was ever about talking about Ukraine, why wasn’t Zelensky there?
