I remember not getting it as a kid, then watching it in a college film class and ho boy did it hit different. Great film
i truly wish i saw what everyone else did in this movie. it’s so beloved and it’s super influential, but i find it to be a massive drag.
and i love ghibli movies. i think spirited away and howl’s and even secret world are all 5/5.
To me it’s still the pinnacle of animated filmmaking and beyond that I feel It’s one of the films ever made.
