Smallest violin. They still have a company. I see folks who are shuttering entire companies thanks to Trump’s tariffs. The backbone of whole towns is breaking. Fuck the federal funding, just stop messing with commerce please.

    2. When Trump first threatened to cut off federal funds going to public broadcasting, I remember NPR would not shut up about how Trump was dumb because they were getting virtually no money from federal funding. Now they won’t shut up about how they’ve lost all their funding and are worried about the future. I support public broadcasting, but man are they disingenuous and out of touch sometimes.

    3. Become a monthly donor to your local PBS affiliate. Just $5 a month can help make a difference and gets you access to the PBS Passport streaming service

I guess you’ll have to wait until 2029, when some fictional bill — *The National Public Broadcasting Trust Act of 2029* — (a) restores public funding to NPR/PBS and (b) shifts it from discretionary to mandatory spending like Medicare and Social Security. It’ll piss off all the conservatives, but after four years of their horsecrap, maybe it’s time. Honestly, I’m more in the mood for maximalist, one-party rule until the damage they’ve caused is finally undone
