      I wanna look at this as positively as possible even though it looks horrible. Trump can negotiate a deal with Putin and then go to Ukraine to see if they will accept it or get a counteroffer and bring it back to Russia. This would pretty much make him the mediator and kinda of a gopher but if it works that’s great.

      The problem is that Trump is too full of himself to do that. He will make a deal, announce that the war is over, and try to force Ukraine to ho or the deal.

      Unless he somehow manipulated Putin for the first time ever instead of being the one getting manipulated, I don’t see this ending well for anyone except for Putin.

      Question is will all the other countries and Ukraine stand for whatever deal the two make in back rooms that probably promises trump a new Crimean resort, because last I heard, trump wasn’t leader of Ukraine.

      Ah yes, the peace talks that don’t involve one of the nations actually in the war, and after Trump claims Europe has nothing to do with the outcome of these talks despite Ukraine being in Europe and Russian expansion presenting a direct risk to European security.

      Trump can only be bothered to work for like 30 minutes at a time and even then has to have his name mentioned to keep his attention. This isn’t a summit, it’s Putin telling Trump what he’s going to do and either Trump habing a tantrum or just agreeing to everything Putin wants.

      Am I the only one who thinks it’s absolutely wild that a war between parties A and B allows B and C to come up with a resolution?

      How on earth is this a resolution when all parties aren’t present?

      Here’s something I don’t get, why does Donald Trump think that he has the authority to negotiate the fate of Ukraine with Russia when Ukraine is not even at the table.

      It’s not like I can go to the store and tell them that because I negotiated with the bank, I can now buy a PlayStation 5 for $3.
