I’m not sure how specifically relevant it is to this article, but as it talks about the things the community needs and the plan to develop Strokestown for 2040, it’s probably worth noting the tens of millions that the adjacent windfarm is pumping into local development.

Passed through Strokestown earlier this year. It was sad to see what looked to once have been a really beautiful little town so I hope this helps. Strokestown House and the famine museum there is worth visiting too if you’re passing and interested in that kind of thing.
