I mean, what did we expect? Putin keeps pushing for a huge chunk of territory that Russia doesn’t currently control; that is something even Trump’s team knows is dead in the water everywhere outside Moscow and DC.
Putin loves the cameras and propaganda or fear mongering surrounding him. He feels like he benefits from the attention that’s why he goes to these meaningless trips
Putin clearly won. He was able to step foot on US soil, win over Trump, without conceding anything meaningful. Trump talked about the Russia hoax, and behaved like Russia is one of the best allies of USA.
Notice how Putin affirmed the war would have never started if Trump was President, which strokes Trump’s ego. He also spoke English at the end, which he never does with US officials. Huge PR win for Russia.
