Democracy is deteriorating right before our eyes. We are witnessing the fall of American democracy and it is dying with a whimper.
Trump has turned DC into a police state and he has openly stated he plans to do the same in other cities despite having no legal authority to do so.
How long before he calls this an insurrection and gets hegseth to start shooting people?
I have to be honest with you, seeing the military police the capital is quite banana-republican.
People should be angry. I understand that we’re all afraid, but what other choice do we have but to fight back? I wish people had fire in their eyes instead of the snarky comments and coping on social media. The lack of anger is obvious. We should be on the streets, but we’re bought out and sold out to be a good little sheep instead.

So, if you don’t have a travel pass, can you be arrested? I remember watching a movie in high school about the superiority of the United States, and one of the things that set us apart was the right to travel freely within the country without obtaining permission first. That is dying and/or dead now. If you are a Republican, are you okay with this? Do you think this won’t affect you? It will. The ruling swamp is justifiably afraid of us actual working Americans, regardless of race or political party–and fear leads to violence and loss of rights. Do you want your kids to need a passport in order to cross a state line? Are you all that afraid of everything? Is giving up your own rights worth it?
A ***checkpoint***! Can we all just take a moment and appreciate how fucking *insane* that is? Your government is now placing checkpoints with armed personnel on your streets. There isn’t a single civilised country other than the United States that is doing that. There are plenty of third world dictatorships that do. You went from the purported „land of the free“ to having your government control your movements at the point of a gun within eight months. Good on the DC residents who are resisting this. Anyone cheering this on should be ashamed of themselves.

In 1989, over ONE MILLION Chinese people staged a protest in Tiananmen for democracy at the capital, standing in front of tanks and giving their lives even if it was futile.
But America just hands over the reigns when it’s time to defend that freedom? We just bow down to autocracy and that’s that, end to the land of the free?
